Play is something we all desire. Like eating and sleeping, play is a necessity. However, it is often seen as a waste of time or childish. playing2play has been designed to provide a little bit of play into people’s day. Through a series of playful design pop-ups in the urban environment, this project explores how best to engage people with play. Leveraging social media, the project aims to promote the importance of play.
The playing2play project is bound by its online presence which showcases observations, footage, and guides to recreate each pop-up. We all love to play through our own mediums, but playing2play provides a platform for anyone to utilise and share their own play experiments or suggest wider everyday play opportunities. Exposing it as a social need, this project demonstrates endless scope for play and that we should play for the sake of playing itself.
